Sankhadeep – Head of Engineering
One of the architects of Verinite has been a soft-spoken but determined man who comes with a technical background with a vast experience on end-to-end solution design and architecture. He is Sankhadeep, the Head of Engineering in the organization.
Formative years
Sankhadeep always wanted to be part of something built from scratch and Verinite has been the execution of this vision. Right from his BE-Mechanical Engineering days at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, this has been something he wanted to do.
Career journey
Starting his career as an Associate Consultant with Kanbay, Sankhadeep went on to grow as a Consultant in Capgemini. This is where he met Ashish and the seeds of Verinite were germinated. In a bid to get a feel of working in a small organization, he joined Attra. On the payroll of Attra, he was deputed at First Data Corporation as a Senior Application Programmer in Singapore. In Dec 2011, he quit Attra to start off his journey in the new venture Verinite. He spent the next few years understanding the startup ecosystem in India and joined Attra – a 150 people organization. He also spent a couple of years with First Data, an industry leader in payments and cards. Finally, in Feb 2012, he took the leap of faith and started the journey in the new venture Verinite.
Getting into leadership
Sankhadeep has spent a considerable part of his career in the payments and cards domain designing end to end solutions, innovating products and building interfaces between multiple applications. He has been associated with some of the leading banking clients across multiple geographies (specifically India, Middle East, South East Asia and America). This has helped him to understand the business across these geographies and create a product which addresses the issues in the Collection space across these geographies. His ability to create cutting edge customized products has been key to the growth of Verinite. Operationally, he has been part of product development, architecting solutions, green field implementation and migration of complex credit card systems across banks, financial institutions and fintechs in India, South East Asia and Middle East region.
Personal insight
Outside work, Sankhadeep is a health enthusiast. He also loves driving and trekking.
