A gutsy, stoutly-built man mapping the undulating treks on the hills to a visionary first-generation fintech entrepreneur, this is Ashish Katkar for you, the founder of Verinite.

Formative years

Born in a small, decrypt town of Satara, Maharashtra in a lower middle-class family, Ashish later collected his engineering degree in Computer Science from VIT, University of Pune. He inculcated strong values of perseverance and hard work.

Career journey

Ashish started as an application developer in Capgemini in July 2000, and quickly grew to become a manager. Eager to add a crucial skill of sales to his repertoire, Ashish bid goodbye to Capegmini (Apr 2008) and joined Attra Infotech as the Head of Global Pre-Sales & ISEU Business Unit (Apr 2008).

Verinite shapes up

Armed with a full array of diverse business skills, Ashish now launched Verinite in March 2011. Steering the company, he has been building business, nurturing leaders, fostering value creation, and putting together robust delivery practices.

In March 2021, Verinite opened a second global delivery center in Chennai, India.

A personal insight

Ashish has been an avid reader. Whenever he is free, you can find him reading books on entrepreneurial stories, sales, banking technology, leadership, and management.

A sports enthusiast, Ashish enjoys playing cricket, football, and chess. Often, he would go to Himalayan treks to spend a few days in the lap of Mother Nature. He is also a trained chess player.

Verinite has been a dream come true for Ashish, and the dream continues, wings growing larger every passing year!
