The Debutants of 2019- A year of new beginnings for Verinitians

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Our Associates have a lot of answers for this question. It is said that you can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable or even scared when you try something new. Here is a list of new experiences Verinitians had in the year 2019 while they were busy scaling new heights personally and professionally.

Ashish was literally scaling new heights when he had gone trekking for the first time in the Himalayas, at Kedarkanta in Uttarakhand. He reached at 14000 feet above sea level. It was indeed a surreal experience for him being so close to nature and surrendering himself to the natural elements. His prime reasons to choose this activity was to challenge his fitness, feel the rush, see the Mother Nature raw and broaden the mind space. This adventure is so addictive that he will be trekking a new mountain in the next year as well. There is no stopping him now!!

The year 2019 was a new beginning for Madhuri who started living on her own in a new apartment. It was scary at the start but now she manages her home, finances, job and life beautifully. This is also helping her in her career. She has learned time management and resource management. She also bagged a SPOT award for a quarter at Verinite .

It was a new start for many at Verinite this year. Verinite Technologies hires freshers every year. Harshad and Harshawardhan were in this year’s batch. Both were fresh from college, had completed their bachelors and entered the corporate world. Both had their share of struggles before . Harshad had to choose between starting a job or to go for the Master’s degree. This decision he made was his first ever independant decision and we are glad he decided to work . Harshawardhan on the other hand changed his career track from mechanical engineering to IT. He had to go through a training in Software Testing from an institute where he scored really well and got this opportunity in the first attempt. Both are learning and are contented with their decisions.

Denny was also one of the talents we hired this year. For him , getting a job with his bachelor degree was a great event and as an add on he also got an opportunity to work at a client location few months after he joined Verinite. He was thrilled to get this assignment and equally nervous. With the support of his family and team members he manages to stay calm and concentrates on his new tasks. In this stint he has gained a knowledge about how  to deal with the clients, exposure to new technologies and new work. He is happy and looking forward for more such opportunities.

For Supriya it was the year of getting over her stage fear. She got an opportunity to host an event at the annual party of Verinite. This is an annual event where the associates and their families are invited . There are performances by the Verinitians and distribution of Verinite Pride Awards. She was responsible to host the show and she did it with finesse. She even handled all the run time challenges perfectly. This was enough for her to get that push in life and prove herself that she can face the audience.

At Verinite , everyone gets an opportunity to test the limits of their caliber. Saisruthi was given a role of a project manager in an overseas assignment. It was a first time for her to be a PM and that too at a client site. She was a bit anxious at the beginning but gradually picked up and successfully completed her tenure. In her words, this experience was to remember for a lifetime. She gained a lot of knowledge on PM skills, on how to run a project and how to get things done from the team. It was also very fulfilling experience for her to travel alone and to be independent in a new destination. She attempted a lot of new stunts, riding a Royal Enfield for 5 KM at a stretch or tasting 24 different flavors of coffee to name a few. To sum up , it was a year full of novel escapades for her.

Verinite’s First ever Cards Conclave was conducted in Manila, Philippines this year. Prasanna was given the task to plan and conduct this event. This was the first ever event he had managed on such a large scale and that too at a remote location. We are proud of this event which some of the bigger companies are still dreaming off, but we did it. With the event venue being outside of country, there were multiple challenges right from location selection, food arrangement, photographer to language barrier. Plenty of things were learnt on this occasion that will help a long way. This Verinite Cards Conclave event proved to be a success and has laid the foundation to future years! Lots of efforts, lots of preparation, dedication, hard work and patience was the key to carry it out diligently. This was the first for Verinite as a company as well. This event has given Prasanna a Boost in his professional as well as personal life.

This year witnessed a New beginning once again for Kuldeep. He welcomed his second child, a daughter this time. He is on cloud nine. Now is the time for him to take the responsibility of his first born, a son, while his wife was busy with the newly arrived angel. Kuldeep took care of his son like a pro. He cherishes these moments where wakes his son up in the morning, makes him ready for school and packs his tiffin and school bag. He looks after all the needs of his son, even gets up in the middle of the night to see if he is sleeping well.  Realization dawned upon him that his wife is so hardworking and loving when it comes to taking care of the kids. He feels thankful that he got this opportunity to be with his son and is able to spend so much quality time with him.

On the professional front, he was handed over a team to lead. It was for the first time he was a decision maker. He acquired a skill in dealing different types of people, handling the pressure of deadlines and delivering quality work. He feels glad that he is associated with Verinite where he is able to explore his capabilities.

As a rookie, it was fascinating for Kunal to travel to an international location for a new project. It was first time that he travelled in an aeroplane and that too alone. He got a chance to work directly with the client and represent his company. He became competent in handling runtime challenges, coordination of onsite and off shore teams. He also made new friends from different countries. He visited the nearby tourist spots. It was an experience like never before. He appreciates Verinite for this opportunity and also for trusting him for this Project.

Reading these experiences shared by the Verinitians give us a pleasant feeling and make us smile. This year was truly very fruitful and full of excitement for all of them. It gives sheer satisfaction when we know that Verinite Technologies was able to spread happiness and encourage these associates to move out of their comfort zone, explore their capabilities and develop themselves. We are sure next year will be filled with similar adventures, new lessons and new stories.
